MOORHEAD, Minn. (KVRR) – Concordia College in Moorhead says the number of incoming students rose 28% compared to fall of 2023.

With nearly 560 first-year and 40 transfer students, this is the largest number of incoming students since 2018.

Concordia officials say two main factors led to the enrollment boost: the Concordia Promise, which offers free tuition to students with a household adjusted gross income less than $90,000 and the Invest to Grow initiative.

“The energy on campus this year is amazing,” said President Colin Irvine. “So many students are excited to dive into what Concordia has to offer, and we’re just as eager to support them every step of the way.”

Most of Concordia’s students are from Minnesota, although the student body includes people from 62 countries.
