16th Annual LGBT Film Festival returns to Fargo Theatre
FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) – Over the weekend, people had the chance to check out a series of LGBT Films at the 16th annual Fargo-Moorhead LGBT Film Festival.
The Festival featured 25 films with LGBT themes from around the world, including films from Hong Kong and India.
Festival Director Shawn Cotter says that it’s great to see all the support that the festival gets from the F-M Community.
Cotter also added how important it is to support your local LGBT film festivals that showcase LGBT stories that you won’t see elsewhere.
“I feel like as a queer person, there’s never enough. Our histories aren’t taught in schools, our stories aren’t being really portrayed in the media. It’s a lot better than it was, but there are still strides that can be taken to make the representation really authentic.”
If you weren’t able to check out the films this weekend, you can pick up a ticket to watch the films digitally.
