LIVE: Thinking Outside the Box for Folks in Need

FARGO — It’s time to start thinking outside the box when it comes to keeping families in need fed through the holidays.

That’s why the Salvation Army in Fargo is accepting applications for their Christmas Food Box program.

They’re asking low-income folks and those going through medical or other financial crises to apply.

The deadline to apply for the annual program this year is November 15th.

The Salvation Army’s Abe Tamoyo says this year, they’re expecting increased demand, in part thanks to how stubbornly inflation rates have been to come down.

And he says they understand some people may be shy about admitting they need the help.

Volunteers will distribute one box per family on December 20th at Hope Lutheran church.

Tamayo joined the Morning Show for a live interview about why families are feeling the financial pressure even harder this holiday season.
