Fargo Man Causes Chain-Reaction Crash During Evening Rush Hour, Arrested for DUI

FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) — A Fargo man is arrested for DUI after causing a chain-reaction crash on I-94 in Fargo during evening rush hour traffic.
North Dakota Highway Patrol says 40-year-old Benjamin Hannig merged onto the interstate around 5:30 p.m. and accelerated, failing to see stopped vehicles in front of him.
He rear-ended one vehicle sending it crashing into another vehicle which in turn crashed into a third vehicle.
There were no injuries reported.
The interstate was impacted for around an hour while emergency crews investigated the crash and cleared the scene,
Hannig was arrested on charges of DUI, possession of THC and possession of marijuana paraphernalia.
The crash remains under investigation.
