Emerado, ND Man Sentenced For Attempted Murder in September 2023

GRAND FORKS, N.D. (KVRR) — An Emerado, North Dakota man is sentenced after pleading guilty to attempted murder and other charges.

A judge in Grand Forks gave Alexander Stewart four years behind bars.

Stewart was arrested in September 2023 after attacking a woman who he allegedy dragged, choked and threatened to kill.

He also pleaded guilty to all charges including domestic violence, terrorizing, felonious restraint and driving under suspension.

Stewart was also given three years of probation and ordered to have no contact with the victim and cannot go within 100 yards of her home.
