MSUM Alum on TikTok Explains How It Helped Build his Career

MOORHEAD, Minn. (KVRR) — The social media platform, TikTok, may soon be disappearing from app stores and for one influencer it will change his path.

Gabe Dannenbring is a TikTok influencer with over one million followers.

His videos focus on his life as a science teacher in Sioux Falls.

Dannenbring is also a MSUM alum and was recently announced as a commencement speaker.

But with something that helped him rise to fame, time may be running out.

“TikTok has changed my life and now fast forward to 2024 almost 2025, I’ve got over a million and a half followers and have had so many cool opportunities because of TikTok and the community that I’ve grown on there,” said Gabe Dannenbring, Social Media Influencer.

The ban is supposed to take effect January 19.

Byte Dance, the parent company of TikTok, has just appealed to the U.S. Supreme Court.
