House Burns Down in Otter Tail County

Investigators believe it was an electrical fire.

near AMOR TOWNSHIP, MN – Several people are looking for a new place to lay their heads after a fire in Otter Tail County on Thursday completely destroyed their home.

The Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office received a call just before 4:30 p.m. on January 30 from a resident in rural Amor Township, which is west of Otter Tail Lake.

Firefighters from Ottertail and Battle Lake responded, along with the state fire marshal and Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office.

Officials believe it was an electrical fire and say the home is a total loss.

Everyone inside the house was able to make it out safely.

The Red Cross is helping those who are displaced.
