Fire Breaks Out at West Fargo Family Fare

It's believed the fire started in some ductwork in a cold storage room.

WEST FARGO, N.D. – First responders and shoppers alike are breathing a sigh of relief that nobody was hurt after a fire broke out at a supermarket in West Fargo.

At approximately 4:33 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 6, the West Fargo Fire Department was dispatched to Family Fare Supermarket on 1100 13th Avenue E. for reports of a structure fire. When crews arrived on scene, smoke was found inside the building.

Crews began investigating and discovered a cold storage room filled with smoke near the back of the store.

It’s possible that the fire originated in the ductwork. Crews isolated the incident to the ductwork and ventilated the structure.

The initial cause of the fire is still under investigation with the cost of damages yet to be determined. There were no injuries to emergency personnel or guests.
