‘Pins Down for Paige’ Shows Support for Local Mom
Paige Tollefson defied the odds to survive a major health scare - now, the community is letting her know they've got her back.
MOORHEAD, MN (KVRR) — It was just a few years ago that Paige Tollefson learned that she had somehow acquired a JAK2 gene mutation.
This made it more likely that she would develop severe blood clots.
Paige wouldn’t know how severe, though, until October of 2024, when two clots forced her into the hospital with unimaginable pain.
At one point, she was put on hospice care and given just three days to live.
Somehow, though, Paige pulled through – and just a few months later, she could be seen mingling with friends and family at the ‘Pins Down for Paige’ fundraiser held at Sunset Lanes in Moorhead.
She says she’s feeling much better – but she will need medication to manage this condition for the rest of her life and is still not necessarily feeling strong enough to do more than focus on her recovery. So, if you’d like to donate, the link to her Lend a Hand Up page is here.
