Minnesota Wants To Hire Fired Federal Workers

ST. PAUL (KVRR/CNN) — Minnesota is looking to hire some of the federal workers laid off by DOGE and the Trump Administration.

The state is directing people to visit the Minnesota Careers Website to learn about available resources.

That includes open jobs, in-person and online workshops, resume reviews, and networking opportunities and resources for veterans.

There are also instructions to apply for Unemployment Insurance benefits.

The state’s tight labor market continues to be a challenge for businesses looking to hire.

Gov. Tim Walz says “If the Trump administration turned you away, Minnesota wants you.”

“We are aggressively looking if we can hire people into Minnesota if we can hire them both into state government or we can hire them into the private sector. We are encouraging people to look to Minnesota as a landing spot but man it’s tough,” said Walz.
