BISMARCK, N.D. (KVRR-Prairie Public) – A bill that would allow darker tint on motor vehicle windows is on its way to Governor Armstrong’s desk.

The bill would change the limit on light let through from the current 50 percent to 35 percent.

The state Senate approved the bill on a vote of 41 to 6.

A proposed initiative measure would allow any tint levels. That measure will need more than 15,000 signatures to be placed on next year’s primary of general election ballot.
