Just 30 People Get Measles Vaccine During Special Clinic At Fargo Cass Public Health

FARGO, N.D. (KVRR/KFGO) — Turnout for a special Measles, Mumps and Rubella vaccination clinic at Fargo Cass Public Health was lower than hoped.

Just 30 people were vaccinated during the walk-in event that ran from 7 a.m. until 1 p.m.

It is estimated that around 800 students in Fargo are not vaccinated against the measles.

The clinic was prompted by the state’s first measles cases in 14 years.

Ten cases were reported in the Williston area related to international travel.

Late last week, two cases were confirmed in Cass County, also from overseas travel.

Depending on what happens in the next few weeks, another MMR clinic may be scheduled.
