‘Hazel’ Release Date Announced

The feature film about the heroic girl will have its premiere in September.

FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) – There is now an official release date for a feature film about a legendary figure in North Dakota history.

During a ferocious blizzard in 1920, 15-year-old Hazel Miner of Center, North Dakota died while keeping her two younger siblings warm and safe when they became trapped in the wilderness.

“Hazel” is a film based on her story.

Canticle Productions has announced the movie will premiere in Bismarck on September 26.

Additional premiere screenings will be held in cities around North Dakota this fall.
