Police arrest murder suspect in one of the early Sunday morning shootings in Fargo

FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) — Police have arrested a suspect in the murder of  20-year-old Elijah Hughes early Sunday in the 4700 block of 16th Avenue South.

They say 20-year-old Caundre Douglas, who has no permanent address, was arrested Monday night in Jamestown after a foot chase.

Police say evidence from the scene connected Douglas to the murder of Hughes.

He was also charged last Friday for his role in another shooting that injured a person on July 22.

Douglas faces two counts of reckless endangerment and two counts of aggravated assault in that case.

Police are still searching for 20-year-old Tyrque Jones of Fargo who is wanted for murder after a shooting early Sunday outside District 64 nightclub in downtown Fargo.

19-year-old Azeem Holmes of Fargo was shot and killed, two other people were shot and injured.
