Crookston man charged for selling drugs to undercover informant for several months

CROOKSTON, Minn. (KVRR) — A Crookston, Minnesota man is charged with seven counts of controlled substance crimes.

Court documents show 37-year-old Kane Rodriguez sold cocaine to an undercover informant on multiple occasions between March and August.

Crookston Police met with the informant and then set up a sales meeting with Rodriguez and he was arrested.

He admitted to police that he had been selling small amounts of cocaine and hadn’t been doing it very long.

Rodriguez also claimed that he did not sell cocaine to make money, only to help people in need.

He is set to appear in court on Thursday in Polk County.
