ST. PAUL (KVRR/KFGO) — Gov. Tim Walz has signed a second tribal-state cannabis compact, this time with the Mille Lacs Band of Ojibwe.

The first agreement was signed with White Earth Nation which now operates a marijuana dispensary on Highway 10 in Moorhead.

The agreement outlines cooperation under state law between the tribal nation and locally licensed businesses in the adult-use marijuana market.

The Office of Cannabis Management says the agreement promotes public health, safety, and economic development.
