DILWORTH, Minn. (KVRR) — A juvenile male was taken into custody Monday afternoon after a threat against Dilworth Glyndon Felton Schools over the weekend.

Clay County Sheriff Mark Empting says the juvenile was taken to West Central Regional Juvenile Center in Moorhead and booked on threats of violence.

Empting says more information may be released tomorrow after consulting with the Clay County Attorney’s Office.

DGF’s superintendent on Sunday said a concerning message that was shared with a small group of friends triggered an investigation by the sheriff’s office.

Classes were held today after the investigation determined there was no threat to student or staff safety.

Empting says the boy’s name will not be released since he is a juvenile.
