GiGi’s Playhouse celebrates ten years with family fun event

MOORHEAD, Minn. (KVRR) — GiGi’s Playhouse celebrated its ten-year anniversary on Sunday with a high-energy, family-fun event.

Families a part of GiGi’s Playhouse teamed up to walk or run through the annual GiGiFIT Acceptance Challenge.

From both a 5k Fun Run to the 1-Mile Inspirational Walk.

Festivities also included bounce houses, vendors, face painting, and more.

While the event celebrated GiGi’s Playhouse, staff also wanted to highlight their community for where they are now.

“When we went through our devastating fire, the community really rallied behind us to help us build our new facility. And ever since opening our new doors to our facility, we’ve seen such incredible growth. And it’s really just a testament to our families that we serve and the community for helping us serve them,” said Lexi Jameson, Interim Executive Director at GiGi’s Playhouse.

So far, GiGi’s Playhouse has served over 240 families and has recently welcomed 21 families this year.
