Tractor Totaled in Train Accident

The driver of the tractor was said to have only sustained minor injuries.

OTTER TAIL COUNTY, MN (KVRR) – A 67-year-old man from Henning, Minnesota, has luckily only suffered minor injuries after his tractor was struck by a train northwest of the city.

The Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office says that just before 2 A.M. on November 13, the man was driving his tractor, headed east on 290th Street. As he approached the CP Railroad, he noticed a train traveling south but was unable to stop in time to prevent a collision.

The Henning Fire Department and Henning EMS arrived at the scene and transported the man to Perham Health. None of the train crew were hurt.

The tractor was totaled, while the train sustained some damage.
