Sheriff seeks help in finding driver of car that killed dog in Comstock, Minnesota

COMSTOCK, Minn. (KVRR) – The Clay County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in locating the driver of a vehicle that struck and killed a dog in Comstock Friday morning.

The owners of “Pumba” witnessed the incident and say their dog was intentionally run over at a high rate of speed.

“If you live along County Road 2 within the city of Comstock and have cameras facing the roadway, we’re asking for your help,” Sheriff Mark Empting said.

“Around 7:00 AM this morning, a dark-colored vehicle was seen speeding through town and struck a dog near the curb before leaving the scene.”

Anyone with video is asked to email it to “mark.empting@claycountymn.gov.”
