Fargo will not pursue annexation of potential Applied Digital site

FARGO (KVRR) – The city of Fargo plans to drop its annexation bid for land currently owned by Applied Digital Corporation after coming to an agreement with the City of Harwood.
In a letter from Fargo City Attorney Nancy Morris sent to City Commissioners, she writes that Mayors Tim Mahoney and Blake Hankey came to the agreement that would see Fargo take no action to annex the land.
As part of the agreement, Harwood would take no action to annex land to the East that is currently owned by Fercho Properties, LLC.
The agreement has a term of twenty years, the maximum allowable under state law.
It will still require approval from both the Fargo and Harwood City Commissions. The Fargo City Commission will vote on the agreement at the next city commission meeting on Monday.
