Local Air Force Veteran Shares Story of Inspiration

A Fargo Air Force Veteran is hoping Veterans Day inspires more people to thank those who served, and consider service themselves.

Mark J. Lindquist shared his story of service at MSUM.

He was born in South Korea and adopted by a Minnesota couple.

He was serving in the Peace Corps in Washington D.C. on nine-eleven and says that inspired him to join the Air Force, which led to a side career as an actor.

Lindquist says he wants others to thank veterans, and perhaps follow their paths.

“I just hope that people catch that and say maybe there’s something I can do. Maybe it’s not wearing the uniform of our country, maybe it’s something I can do in our community to serve, give back, and chance the lives of others,” says Lindquist.
