Clay County Detox Center Needs Qualified Applicants

Clay County Detox Center has two jobs opening, and can’t find anyone to fill them.

The Center is looking for a new director and a full time registered nurse.

A few candidates have come forward, but lack the experience needed for the position.

Both positions should have a nursing degree as well as experience in substance abuse.

For many, the detox center is a person’s last resort in seeking treatment.

“It can be rewarding. If you work with the staff and work with the clients that come into see us and you can turn that one out of ten or one out of five around and help society get that person on the right track,” says Clay County Administrator, Brian Berg.

Berg says its been difficult to compete with other top health care industries in the area.

However, he says he is willing to discuss salary negotiations with any interested applicants.
