Leo Dartoe trial begins in Fargo for August 2024 murder

FARGO, N.D. (KVRR/KFGO) — A trial is finally underway for Leo Dartoe, the Philadelphia man charged with shooting and killing a man in south Fargo in August 2024.
Dartoe is charged with murder and being a felon in possession of a firearm for the death of 35-year-old Sampson Bleh.
Prosecutors say Dartoe shot Bleh in the chest at an apartment in the 2200 block of 12th Avenue South.
Dartoe was arrested in Georgia two months later and extradited back to North Dakota.
Another man, Geettoe Kamara, was charged with being an accomplice to murder, but that charge was later dismissed.
Dartoe has gone through a number of attorneys.
The trial is scheduled through Friday.
