Man jailed after law enforcement pursuit in Otter Tail County

NEW YORK MILLS, Minn. (KVRR-KFGO) – A rural Fergus Falls man is in the Otter Tail County jail after deputies chased the stolen car he was driving near New York Mills on Friday night.

Deputies used tire deflation devices and a pursuit intervention technique to end the pursuit. 41-year-old Rene Torres was arrested for vehicle theft, fleeing, and burglary.

The State Patrol, New York Mills Fire Department and Astera Ambulance assisted the sheriff’s department.
