FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) — A Fargo entrepreneur and owner of a software consulting business is running for Fargo Park Board.

In a press release announcing his candidacy, Tyler Sand said he will focus on accessibility, community-driven decision making, and thoughtful planning to support Fargo’s growing park system.

“Fargo has built a strong parks system, and I’m grateful for the work that has gone into creating the spaces we enjoy today,” Sand said. “As our community grows, we have an opportunity to build on that foundation by ensuring our parks are accessible to everyone, shaped by community input, and responsive to the needs of every neighborhood” said Sand.

He had three top priorities: accessibility for all; community-first decision making through transparency and engagement; and inclusive recreational opportunities that reflect Fargo’s diverse community.

The election will be held on June 9.
