Toughest Monster Truck Tour returns to the Alerus Center

Grand Forks, N.D. (KVRR) — Rip-roaring, high flying action is back in the northern valley this weekend, as the Toughest Monster Truck Tour makes its return to the Alerus Center.

The action gets kicked off at 3 P.M. with six trucks taking to the all dirt track.

And fans with a chance to meet the drivers and get an up close and personal view of the trucks at the pit party starting at 12:30.

For Daron Basl, who drives the truck Blockhead, racing monster trucks is a family affair.

Both of his brothers are involved in the sport, and getting to inspire the next generation is one of his favorite parts of the tour.

“Like really, I’m going to work on and race monster trucks for a living. And I have been blessed, and my brothers have been blessed to do that for a living, and it’s truly the best job in the world. And to see little kids say that same thing and want to do that, it just inspires you to go out there and perform at the highest levels.”
