FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) — As food insecurity continues to impact families across the region, the Great Plains Food Bank and Corwin Automotive Group are teaming up once again to launch the annual Stock the Shelves campaign.

The annual spring campaign invites the public to make a financial gift online or donate food.

Corwin has been partnering with the Great Plains Food Bank since 2021, and this year, they will be matching donations up to $65,000.

Funds raised through Stock the Shelves will support 205 partner food pantries, shelters, and meal sites across North Dakota and Clay County.

Last year, the event raised over $250,000, surpassing their goal of $170,000.

This year’s goal is to raise $200,000.

“Hunger doesn’t stop. We had a record year last year with an eleven percent increase in need, and we’re continuing to see that steady on the rise. And so we need to continue to step up in ways to provide those resources for those in need. And this is another for our community to come alongside us to do that,” said Darby Njos, Communications & Marketing Manager.

Donations are being accepted at Corwin locations in the Fargo-Moorhead area from now until May 3rd.
