Arts Fundraising Takes a Dark Turn
FARGO — It’s been a harbinger of spring for almost three decades in the region, as well as one of the biggest events of the year for the arts community in the metro and beyond.
And now, it’s taking a dark turn.
The Plains Art Museum’s Spring Arts Gala 2026 is called “Nightmare at the Museum.”
The theme is partly inspired by Brewhalla, which is one of the event’s sponsors.
They’re known for featuring local artists’ dark-themed original artwork on their beer cans.
Some of the skeletons that will decorate the celebration are also up on display, but you can expect some livelier attendees, as well.
The Plains’s Megan Even joined the Morning Show to talk about where the inspiration for this year’s gala theme came from, this year’s new opportunity to meet the artists, and why the funds raised are so critical to keeping the Plains accessible for all.
