FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) — Sen. Kevin Cramer, who lives in D.C. and Bismarck, is weighing in on the race for mayor in Fargo.

In a post on his personal Facebook account, he says the people of Fargo have an incredible opportunity to choose a new leader and he believes Turnberg is the right person for the job.

“Well I don’t have a vote in this election, I do have a voice and I strongly support and fully endorse Michelle Turnberg to be Fargo’s next mayor because I believe Michelle is the right person for the right time,” said Cramer.

She is in her first term on the city commission and is running against fellow commissioners Dave Piepkorn and Denise Kolpack, state Sen. Josh Boschee, and Fargo Human Rights chair Sekou Sirleaf.

There will be a mayoral debate Tuesday at noon on KFGO and KVRR News Director Jim Monk will be on the panel asking questions.

The election is June 9.
