WEST FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) — The Chamber hosts another debate for local political candidates, this time focusing on West Fargo City Commission.

Four candidates are competing for two seats on the commission in the June election.

They are David Withee, Patti Stedman, Tyler Erickson and John Severson.

Commissioners Roben Anderson and Brad Olson are not seeking re-election.

Each candidate shared why they are running for a seat on the commission.

“I have no axe to grind, and I have no conflicts with other organizations. I just want to make certain that our taxes are used efficiently and productively,” said Withee.

“I believe that our community is great and I want to see it continue to be great for our next generation,” said Stedman.

“You know it’s so important that you know people are engaged in these local elections because they do impact our lives at a very intimate level,” said Erickson.

“And I’ve been asked or volun-told some people say, to do more with less each and every year. And I think that’s what government needs to start doing,” said Severson.

The Chamber will host a Fargo City Commission candidate debate at Fargo City Hall Tuesday night starting at 5 p.m.
