94th Minnesota Legislative Session wraps up after three months

ST. PAUL, Minn. (KVRR) — Minnesota legislators wrapped up the 94th Legislative Session after three months of work in St. Paul.
This session passed various bills, which included building an Office of Inspector General, funding for the Hennepin County Medical Center, and a $40 million longstanding housing assistance program to help Minnesotans pay their rent or mortgage.
Moorhead Sen. Rob Kupec’s backing of a bonding bill was one of the few that passed in the final hours.
“It’s been a long kind of tough session in a lot of ways. And in the end a lot of things fell by the wayside, but in the end, as divided as this legislature is I think we’ve had a pretty productive session,” said Sen. Rob Kupec, (D) Moorhead.
With the legislative session now completed, many lawmakers will soon move forward with their campaigns.
