Pedestrian hit and killed west of Bemidji, MN

BELTRAMI CO., Minn. (KVRR) — A man walking on Division Street west of Bemidji last night was hit and killed.

The 911 call came in around 10:45 p.m.

Lifesaving efforts were attempted on scene but officials say 65-year-old Floyd Cloud of Bemidji was pronounced dead.

The driver has been identified as 56-year-old Robert Ortez of Bemidji.

He remained on scene after the crash and fully cooperated with law enforcement who say there were no signs of impairment.

Minnesota State Patrol is assisting with the crash reconstruction.
