Former Sawyer Superintendent in Court for Child Porn Charges

The former superintendent and high school principal in Sawyer accused of having sex with a 15-year-old boy has pleaded not guilty to a child porn charge.

51-year-old Charles Soper entered the plea to the felony charge that carries a maximum punishment of five years in prison.

He pleaded not guilty earlier to luring, corruption and drug paraphernalia charges, and to a more serious count of human trafficking.

That charge carries a maximum punishment of life in prison without parole.
