Gov. Dayton Calls for Special Election

Minnesota Gov. Dayton is calling a special election to fill an open seat in the House.

It was triggered by the death of Rep. David Dill earlier this month from cancer.

The veteran Democrat served a massive northeastern district including Koochiching, Cook, Lake and northern St. Louis counties.

The special election will be held December 8th.
