Fairmount Water Tower: Good & Bad News

Good and bad news for people in Fairmount, North Dakota.

The mayor says the town’s water tower, heavily damaged in a storm Tuesday night, can be fixed but it will take some time.

Friday, crews will remove the partially blown off top but repairs will take about two weeks.

Until then, people can get water pumped directly from the town’s wells.

Until further notice, the boil water order remains in effect.

Two streets near the water tower have been closed to traffic.
