Facebook Post Helps Police Nab Thief River Falls Robbery Suspect
A Thief River Falls man who was arrested last week for robbing a convenience store, was caught thanks to social media.
A dispatcher came across a post allegedly made by Adrian Staples on Facebook, 30 minutes after the crime.
One picture showed a wallet stuffed with cash and Marlboro cigarettes with the caption “This how it is solo!!!”.
A second post an hour later showed a handful of cash which was the same amount taken during the robbery at Pennington Square, with the caption “I slapped her in the face! I do so much better with out that buzz kill!”
A search warrant was issued and Staples was arrested.
He remains in jail with bail set at $20,000.
