“Stomped His Guts Out”: Clay County Deputy Under Investigation for Facebook Comment

An internal investigation has been opened regarding comments made by a Clay County deputy on Facebook.

While referring to a man seen taking pictures of swimmers at Island Park Pool, Detective Jason Hicks wrote that somebody should have “stomped his guts out.”

Sheriff Bill Bergquist says he doesn’t expect the investigation to take long and Hicks’ employment status has not changed.

The man at the pool was identified as Kirk Ludwig.

He was not charged, but he was cited for having a small amount of marijuana and banned from the pools for 90 days.
