25 NDSU students battle it out verbally in a Three Minute Thesis Competition.

The event was designed to improve skills for clearly and concisely communicating valuable research.

Each participant had exactly three minutes to present their thesis on a variety of topics in the areas of architecture, health, science and current events.

Faculty members, graduate students and community leaders judged the presentations.

Graduate and Interdisciplinary Studies Dean David Wittrock says, “We have a lot of very very talented students here so this is a chance for them to be able to show off what they’ve learned and what they are doing. And us being able to recognize them in some way.”

The overall winner is Allison Peltier who is a graduate student in advanced nursing practice.

She won $1,000 for her presentation on… Cervical Cancer Among American Indian Women.
