Harlem Globetrotter Visits Fargo Boys & Girls Club

Buckets Blakes of Harlem Globetrotter visits kids at the Boys and Girls Club/Fargo Youth Center.

Buckets made the special visit as part of the Globetrotters’ S.P.I.N. program, which stands for “Some Playtime Is Necessary.”

The program helps fight the growing issue of childhood obesity.

Globetrotter players visit schools and recreation programs worldwide urging kids to have an active lifestyle.

Harlem Globetrotter’s Buckets Blakes says, “Keep the kids in great shape so they have a good resting heart rate and they can live long healthy lives. Hopefully they try to implement good meals with that too because it’s not just about exercising. It’s about putting the right things in your body as well.”

You can vote for “Hometown Heroes” to be honored at the Harlem GlobetrottersĀ  “2015: Washington Generals’ Revenge World Tour” coming to Scheels Arena on Wednesday, April 22 at 7pm by going to the Harlem Globetrotters Hometown Hero website listed on the screen.
