NDSU Men Fall at USD
VERMILLION, S.D. – The North Dakota State men’s basketball team lost 72-58 to South Dakota inside the DakotaDome on Thursday night.
South Dakota (12-14, 4-8 Summit) never trailed in the contest. Junior forward Tyler Flack led the Coyotes with 18 points and 10 rebounds.
NDSU (16-9, 6-5 Summit) shot 39 percent for the game. Junior guard Carlin Dupree led the Bison with 14 points, and Kory Brown finished with eight points, 13 rebounds and four assists.
The Bison scored just six points in the game’s first 10 minutes. NDSU trailed 29-21 at halftime after shooting 33 percent in the opening half.
South Dakota posted a 40-32 rebounding advantage. NDSU made only 3-of-13 attempts from beyond the arc.
The Bison will play at Omaha on Saturday, with the opening tip scheduled for 1 p.m.
