West Acres Officials Respond to DAPL Protest Threats

A Craigslist post encouraging pipeline protesters to shut down West Acres Mall on Friday has been pulled from the site.

The person behind the post promised to pay people $50 to show up.

The ad said anyone who proved they quit their job to protest full time would get $1000.

They also claimed to shut down Veterans Memorial Bridge during a pipeline protest earlier this week.

But traffic was never actually blocked.

West Acres officials issued a statement that they will exercise their private property rights and will not allow protests that pose a disruption to customers and tenants.
