LIVE: Home is Where the Heart Is
Have a heart and support a great cause -- the American Heart Association and all the hard work they do here in our home region.
With the coronavirus pandemic stretching now into its 6th month, health has been on most of our minds like never before.
And while it’s transmissible disease that’s dominated the conversation, heart disease is still a leading killer among Americans.
That’s why the people at the American Heart Association are pushing us all to get up and get moving with their annual walk — only this time, they’re holding it online.
Wherever you are on August 13th, you’re encouraged to get up, get your walking shoes on, and help raise funds for the fight against heart disease.
Then, take some selfies and raise some online awareness by posting on social media.
The AHA’s Jessica Lundgren joined the Morning Show via Zoom for a live interview with Emily Welker to talk about how to stay motivated to keep yourself moving and to get ready for the upcoming Heart Walk.
