LIVE: Pet Connection: Meet Rubix

Let's solve a problem together -- this dog needs a home. Could it be with you?

FARGO — It’s a real puzzle to us why this cute little Rubix — as in Rubik’s cube — hasn’t been adopted yet.

He came in to 4 Luv of Dog rescue from the pound, and while they’re not sure exactly what breeds make up his genetic heritage, judging from his blocky face, there might be some Rottweiler going on in there, with possibly some Labrador as well.

Rubix is about two years old, and while a lot of dogs are still shaking off the puppy crazies at that point, Rubix is a very well-behaved boy.

He likes adventures on the leash and in the car, and while he’s always up for a game, he’s just as happy to come home and cuddle with you on the couch too.

He gets along well with all humans, although he’s a little more choosy about the dogs he associates with, and he’s best off with a cat who’s got some practice dealing with dogs.

He also should be in a home with older considerate children, since he’s a good-sized fellow at more than 50 pounds, and a little one could potentially get knocked over.

He’s very attentive and should pick up tricks and new skills easily, and you’ll see right away why he’s become such a fast favorite with the rescue volunteers.

He’s neutered, has all his shots and he’s chipped, so he’s ready to go whenever you are.

And if you can’t give him a forever home, consider being his foster — it’s all paid for including vet care and food.

And don’t forget to check out the shelter’s 15th annual Silent Auction fundraiser going on through Saturday.
