Diners, Drive-Thrus and Dogs
As long as you're "pawsed" on your drive, why not check out these cuties up for adoption?
MOORHEAD — Waiting in the drive-thru lane is boring.
But now, on your morning commute in the metro, you can get your coffee order with a side of canine cuteness.
That’s thanks to a new program one local dog shelter is launching.
It’s called “Diners, Drive-Thrus and Dogs.”
The name is a riff on the well-known Guy Fieri show.
And it’s the brainchild of 4 Luv of Dog volunteer Cindy Holtan.
When you visit local businesses, you may see them displaying the full profiles of adoptable pups available through the 4 Luv of Dog rescue.
Each profile displayed has all the details, including who’s good with kids, who’s good with other dogs and who needs to be a single dog, and who likes cats and who chases them.
They also give you a breakdown of the dog’s alteration, microchip and vaccination status, as well as any space and health care needs the dog may have.
And for an example of the kind of dog whose profile you might see, check out this week’s Pet Connection Pet of the Week, Sparkler — the program poster child.
