LIVE: Pet Connection: Meet Gibbs
FARGO — Little Gibbs the Lab cross is a really, really good boy.
And that’s especially impressive because up until he was taken from the pound after almost running out of time, he had very obviously never lived in a house before.
Journey Home Animal Rescue Nicole Jorgenson brought Gibbs in to the Morning Show and says when she first got him to her house, he was scared to even come out of the kennel.
He wasn’t housebroken, and didn’t know even simple behaviors like sit, how to walk on a leash, or anything else.
But now, he knows it all, and has gone from afraid to leave his kennel to loving cuddling on the bed with you.
He likes to play with other dogs and gets along well with humans, although he is a little shy around small children.
At no more than a year old at most, he’s still a puppy, so he needs lots of toys and things to play with to keep his busy brain occupied.
As a matter of fact, the best way to get him to slow down and stop playing is to cuddle him.
She thinks he has some German Shepherd as well as Lab in there, both of which breeds are known for their intelligence and obedience.
If you want to turn this little boy’s rough start in life into the fairy-tale ending it deserves, check out Gibbs’s profile, here:
