LIVE: Pet Connection: Meet Azule

POLK CO., Minn. — She’s only got three legs, but she has more than enough cuddles, cutes and charm to make up for it.

Azule came in to the Smiley’s rescue in Polk County positive for feline leukemia.

It’s a contagious disease to cats but no other species, so Smiley’s has a dedicated space for leukemia cats where they can be together and not risk getting other kitties sick.

Azule also appeared to have been shot in the leg, but fortunately, while the leg couldn’t be saved, Azule recovered well and hasn’t suffered mobility problems from being a “tripod” kitty.

Her rescuer, Smiley’s founder Sid Williams, says she plays and walks and runs just like the other cats, the only difference being that she won’t jump on countertops or tables.

Her disposition hasn’t suffered a bit, and she loves other cats and humans, including kids.

She’s got big blue eyes, and a sweet nature that’s just as beautiful.
