LIVE: Pet Connection: Meet Dolly

FARGO — Dolly’s rescue worker describes her as a doll, and since she’s been bottle-feeding her since she was a tiny kitten of four weeks old and knows her disposition pretty well, it’s safe to say you’d be getting a really sweet kitten if you adopted her.

Dolly and her sibling were born in a vacant building in very cold conditions, so the volunteers at Far North Feline decided to try to trap them and bring them to safety.

Unfortunately, only Dolly could be captured before the mother cat moved the other kitten, so Dolly came in to the rescue all alone.

Rescue volunteer Debra Bartelt says even in spite of losing her mother, Dolly started to thrive right away.

Now that she’s several months old, she’s spayed, vaccinated and ready to go to her forever home.

She has a sweet nature, although she does like to bite when she plays, so depending on your tolerance for that behavior she might need training.

She gets along with other cats extremely well, so if you were to adopt another kitten along with her, she’d have a built-in companion to play with — often advantageous for new owners, since the two will entertain each other and keep each other out of trouble.
