Pet Connection: Meet Rick Astley
FARGO — Rick Astley came to 4 Luv of Dog shelter as a stray wandering the streets of the metro, and while not much is known about his past before this, it’s clear if you adopt Rick, he’s never going to give you up, and never going to let you down.
That’s because Rick is an exceptionally affectionate little guy, who knows sit, stay, and shake, and who does extremely well both in the car and on the leash, according to 4 Luv’s Cindy Holtan.
They think he’s about two years old, and with all those attributes, he’s more than ready to go to his furever home.
Rick is just one of thousands of dogs the 4 Luv of Dog volunteers have taken in, evaluated, spayed, neutered, vetted, vaccinated, trained and placed over their twenty years as a rescue here in the region.
And the costs, particularly with dogs who have significant medical needs, can really add up.
That’s why you’re invited to check out the annual Silent Auction going on this weekend at the Fargo Air Museum.
This year, they’ve got 615 baskets for you to bid on, with the proceeds all going to the dogs’ care.
