Pet Connection: Meet Chanel and Gucci
FARGO — If you need a couple of cuties to cuddle up with on this long, cold weekend, you can snuggle in style with the help of Chanel and Gucci.
The three-month-old kittens were rescued from a rural location and brought in to Far North Felines for some medical care, socialization and love at the hands of Far North’s Debra Bartelt.
Their mother is a feral cat, and the people who captured the kittens didn’t manage to get mom in to their care at the same time, so she’s still out there.
Without the chance to spay her, chances are good she’s already conceived another litter that’s on the way.
Chanel is the tricolor long-haired kitten, and she’s a lot more outgoing than her brother.
She’s very calm in new situations, and she enjoys affection from humans and also likes to explore.
She’s still some time away from her spay operation, so she’ll be ready for adoption once she recovers from the procedure.
Gucci has already been neutered and he’s recovered nicely.
He’s a bit shyer than his sister, so he needs a little time to get the lay of the land in new situations before he opens up enough to play.
Either cat would be a great companion, since they’re gentle with their claws when they play, and full of affection for humans.
